Revenue Canada
Revenue Canada (or Canada Revenue Agency, CRA) is the Federal Department to which you must pay income tax by April 30 each year. This means you must report all the money you earned during the previous year. It is important to file your income tax forms to be eligible for government programs such as Child Tax Benefits. You can get tax forms from your local post office.
There are numerous businesses and accountants available for hire that will file your income tax return on your behalf, see “Tax Return Preparation” in the telephone directory Yellow Pages.
Additionally, Canada Revenue Agency hosts free sessions to help people complete their tax returns, these are usually held in March and April and advertised in the newspaper and on the radio.
