Phone Cards

Many companies sell pre-paid phone cards that allow you to make local and long-distance calls. The long-distance rates offered by phone cards are often less expensive than other long-distance providers. Phone cards can be purchased at many service stations, convenience and grocery stores.

The instructions for using the phone card are listed on the card; usually, you must dial an 800 number, enter the code on the card’s rear side, then dial the phone number you wish to call.
