Collection Agencies

If you fail to make payments the loan company may hire a collection agency to collect the money you owe. The agency must give written notice that they intend to collect the debt. They may phone you only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., but not on Sunday. They must not harass you with telegrams, collect calls, or constant letters and calls to your home. They cannot inform your employer of your debt or demand more than the amount owed.
